Hello Crafty Friends and Welcome back to my blog. Today, I wanted to show you how I set up my personal planner this week. I just love the Holiday season. I love decorating, sending out cards and of course glamming up my planner!
This week I’m using Fun Stampers Journey stamps, inks, accessories like washi and candy dots to decorate. In this layout, I am using the hostess exclusive set called Hallow’s Eve. Contact me for hosing a party and earning this cute stamp set.
Since I didn’t have any orange washi handy, I went ahead and painted my whip cream sparkle tape using the Citrus Cooler Journey Silk. I love the way it turned out. It added that pop of color I was looking for. If you’re not into the traditional orange, black and purples for Halloween. I will have an upcoming layout in a non-traditional color scheme.

Hi Planner girls! This month i’m trying out some new stamps in my planner and going for a more simplified look.
I love the clean but playful lines of the Flower Swirls stamp set so I used it to decorate my monthly view for July. I also added some sparkle using the Summer Play Sparkle stones and made my own floral clips using the Love Buds.
This week, we are celebrating Fourth of July and I wanted to use red, white and blue to keep my planner looking festive. Here I used my pan pastels to create a chevron backdrop for my weekly spread. I used our chevron stencil along with our large dauber dowels to apply the pan pastel. I like the way it turned out, I think this will be saving me some money since I don’t need to purchase too many stickers.
Let me know how you liked my planner spreads, I would definitely like to create more using my stamps and mixed media supplies in my planner.
As always, thanks for visiting my blog. If you’re on Instagram, follow me at @alex_stamps
Hello Crafty friends and thanks for joining me on my blog today. I wanted to quickly review and share my favorite paper crafting products that I’ve been using in May.
One of the items on my list is a stamp set you’ve seen several times on my blog this month. I’m talking about the May Bloom Box stamp set of the month, the Decorative Doily stamp set. I want to remind you to get signed up for the Bloom Box by May 31st to receive that exclusive card kit and not have to wait for the stamp set to release later this year. The Bloom Box is always fun because it gives you a fun piece of Happy Mail to look forward to every month.
Another item on my May 2017 Favorites is the Fun Stampers Journey scallop washi tape. The scallop washi tape is perfect to use in your planners but also add it to your cards for some extra bling. I love our sparkle tapes so much, I also heard a rumor that we will be releasing even more exclusive washi in our new catalog launch.
Stickers! I love my planners and have also been memory keeping in my A5 I Hearts Planner. I have been taking advantage of the sticky notes that Fun Stampers Journey carries, perfect for decorating your creative planner and your cards. These stickers feature a script font and they are clear backed, perfect for layering on projects.
For more of my May 2017 Favorites, Please watch my YouTube tutorial. I also left links of the products from my video listed below.
If you’ve been following my blog, you’ll remember that I shared the May 2017 Bloom Box exclusive card kits and stamp set on May 1st here. The Bloom Box is just a fun piece of happy mail to look forward to every month. You can create 4 beautiful cards and learn some techniques and tips that can be used again and again. I love the sentiments and doilies of this gorgeous Decorative Doily stamp set, best of all we were able to order a coordinating die set.
If you want a closer look at the May 2017 Bloom Box, be sure to check out my Crafty Lounge YouTube channel for the YouTube Unboxing video I filmed here. I walk you through the box the Fun Stampers Journey Bloom Box comes in and show you all the contents.
Well, if you follow me over on Instagram at @alex_stamps, you’ll probably notice that I’m a bit of a #PlannerAddict. Yep, I said it. I am Planner Obsessed! I loved the exclusive stamp set in the May kit of the month so much that I had to use it in my latest planner layout. I used my A5 Webster’s Pages exclusive Fun Stampers Journey planner to do a little bit of memory keeping here.
The third way I’ve already used this awesome stamp set is by making quick Mother’s Day note cards for my co-workers and family. If you were here on the blog yesterday, you saw my quick project share featuring the Annual Celebration stamp set paired with this gorgeous Decorative Doily stamp set. I hope you enjoyed some of the ideas I shared today and you’re inspired to create.
You might have noticed that Bible Journaling has become a popular paper crafting trend. I enjoyed seeing beautiful bible artwork but have been a little hesitant to actually journal and create in a Bible. Well, this summer I took the plunge and bought my first Journaling Bible with wide margins, specifically for Bible Journaling.
While I did stamp a bit in there with rubber stamps and colored using pan pastels, I put it down until now. Recently, I purchased a few things from Illustrated Faith website link on their Instagram page which have inspired me to really dig into my Bible Journaling journey. I recommend following the Illustrated Faith brand on Instagram at Instagram.com/IllustratedFaith for exclusive coupons and project inspiration. I filmed a YouTube unboxing video to capture the contents of my ‘Tis The Season Devotional kit and Illustrated Faith Planner. Yes, you read that right. I have yet another planner. Here’s a link to my YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/aiDNhvXkrUQ
I would love it if you would subscribe to my channel.
Here’s a photo using my ‘Tis The Season Advent Devotional Booklet. I used both Illustrated Faith and Fun Stampers Journey Inks and stamps to capture my work.
If you’ve tried Bible Journaling, leave me a comment below. I’d love to follow you and see your work.
As some of you may know, I’ve become a little planner obsessed the past couple of years. I am loving my Webster’s Pages Color Crush planners and love dressing them up with planner clips, dividers, washi, stamps and stickers.
I decided to change up my Journey Girl binder with some new dividers. I chose the new Summer Romance paper pack out of the Spring into Summer Mini Catalog. I made 5 dividers and used my tag punch to make tabs for each divider.
Here’s a look at the beautiful dividers I made. The colors go well with my Black and White Journey Girl binder. If you’re interested in getting this paper or the Journey Girl binder, visit my online shop at http://www.funstampersjourney.com/alex
